DEFRA warns of world food shortages

Food production worldwide would have to rise by a staggering 70% by 2050 to feed the growing population.

 

At the same time global warming will reduce the amount we can produce due to increased storms, flooding, fires, drought, and changing weather patterns due to rising temperatures.

 

Currently, almost 30,000 people each day die of hungry worldwide; yet there is enough food produced to feed us all.
