About

The AIDS crisis in Africa has claimed 25 million lives since 1981 - equal to half the death toll of World War II.

Yet AIDS/HIV is Preventable and Treatable.

Banana Appeal is a registered UK charity 1122157, and we work in Zululand, South Africa, which has one of the highest rates of HIV in the world.

But we can make a BIG difference...

Banana Appeal projects have provided over a Million school meals to malnourished children since June 2005 and have proved so sucessful, that the government have adopted many of our feeding projects and set up many more!

Our history:

Banana Appeal was formed to support the work Kevin 'Banana Man' Allen who had been feeding over a thousand forgotten children a day, single handedly, for two years through fruit to school schemes he had set up after witnessing the childrens plight. Read of Kevin's incredible story here
